• Thanksgiving-What'sUP November 28 - 11:34 pm

There are so many things to be thankful for today, both big and small, but one of the important ones for us here at Pasty Central, is thankfulness that so many folks are willing to share the beauty of the Upper Peninsula they have captured with their camera lens. That's huge for all of us, for without the generous sharing of their photos, we wouldn't be the Pasty Cam.

Today's first sharer is Kathy Archambeau, who captured this beautiful early morning scene on one of our recent chilly mornings. Kathy said it was only 10° that day, with the sun peeking out of the clouds as it rises to begin a new day.

Our second sharer is Andrew Bouwkamp, who's Mom, Barb, actually sent in his photo wondering if it was Pasty Cam worthy. She said he took it with his cell phone, while waiting for the sun to make its appearance so he could begin the hunt that day. His Mom jokingly added that you could see all the bucks there hiding in the woods, too…NOT. ;-)

Anyway, I just thought both of these morning shots, would give us all a jump start on forming our thankfuls on this Thanksgiving Day. Here's wishing all of you, from all of us here at Pasty Central, a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving. If you think Thanksgiving is late this year, did you know there was a time when it didn't occur until Nov. 30? The last time was in 1933 (some states observed it on Nov. 30 in 1939. Michigan was not one of them).

My Hubby and I have a wedding Aniversay today. So it is a
special day for us.

Happy Thanksgiving. This comes with a very heavy heart for
me. I've been doing a lot of crying since yesterday evening.
Heaven gained another beautiful angel.

Danielle, I am so sorry. I share your broken heart. My dad died on Thanksgiving and it was also his 73rd. birthday.

Thanksgiving day...

Happy Thanksgiving! So many things to be thankful for today. But my heart is grieving for my cousin's family. Their son's girlfriend got killed in a car accident yesterday. So very sad for all of them. I wonder if that's the angel that Danielle is talking about. Prayers going out for both families there.
