Today's photos from Donna MacIntosh give those of you that aren't familiar with the way the seasons run together here UP North, a good idea of the combined season I'm going to name Fallter. That would be a combination of Fall and Winter together, which is what we experience here every year right about now.

Some trees hang on to their leaves much longer than the others and it seems like oak trees are one of them that do, although the leaves turn and are in their fall attire while still attached. Then we get some big winds and snow and they drop down to mingle fall and winter together.

Donna's third photo shows some of the fall color peeking out of the snow cover, along with some remaining green grass sticking out, too.

Then her fourth shot looks up to the sky where the snow clouds are trying to obliterate the sun from our view. Fortunately, it glows enough to illuminate the bare branches against the cloud cover. Fallter at its best!

Happy Birthday's to Ken & Jonny! Today's pictures could have been easily taken here in Eastern Iowa! We're looking just like that! Almost January in November! Safe travels to all Holiday travelers!

Happy Birthday to Ken Ozanich!!!

I absolutely love that last picture. Looking up to the sky through the trees always brings memories of lost loved ones to me for some reason. Beautiful!!
