With wintery weather coming and going here in the Keweenaw over the past couple weeks, Joe Kirkish figured he better make a quick trip to his cottage to shut it down, before the weather proves to be disastrous (Joe's words). He said that after a miserably cold and damp night, he woke up to his final sunrise at the cottage, for 2013 and from the moment it began, it kept changing almost by the minute.

So, Joe did what he does best and grabbed his camera to record those minute changes. The result is what you're viewing here today. He said it was the nicest way to go from a miserable, near sleepless night, to this…a breath-taking final sunrise. Glorious beauty to begin the day with!

WOW! Nice!

It was only 28°F here in Cornell this am. But later this afternoon we had 51°. What a beautimous day! What colorful sunrises for today. We've had a few flakes of snow couple times already but, they didn't last long.

photos, you used to link to their photo album. Can
you do that again?

Mary says: Barry ~ When we feature a photo from someone's Pasty Gallery Album, I do link to that album, but so many of the photos we get now-a-days don't come from the Guest Gallery. If the photographer doesn't have a Guest Gallery Album there will be no link to one. Hope this helps to explain the lack of links for some folks.
