On the eastern end of the U.P., near Brimley, Brenda Leigh is excited that winter has arrived there. She headed out in her jeep to check out the accumulations and spotted some beautiful snowy scenes along the way.
Like the first two photos in her collection…what a wonderful little river scene with a mini waterfall and snow covered tree branches holding the most exquisite little river icicles. Each one of them look like legs with little feet attached, transforming those branches into winter creatures from the black flowing waters.
Brenda's next stop along her snowy adventures was on a little bridge over another section of river, only this one is so still, you can see the sky reflecting through the trees from above. Talk about serene and there you have it.
Then in the last photo, you get a better idea of what her snow day fun was all about, with snowflakes gently falling, the ground completely covered in white and the wheels that provided their services to transport Brenda on today's adventures. Thanks for taking us along
Been wondering when Brenda was going to put in an appearance. Looks like a fun time, Brenda!

I love all these snowy day pictures. We have had a couple of snows here in West Michigan but not like I have seen here on pasty.com. Our Bittersweet Ski area between Allegan and Otsego did open yesterday though as it has been cold enough for them to make snow and the skiers and snowboarders do not care how the snow gets here as long as it is.

Nice photos, thanks Brenda! What can you tell us about the rack on your jeep? Looks like you could haul a lot of stuff on it. Is it an off-the-shelf product, or did you torch it together yourself?

LocalyLaid is a free-range chicken ranch near Duluth that is in the Final Four of small businesses to have its ad shown nationally during the Superbowl. The mayor of Duluth commented that this might be the only way Minnesota will ever win anything at the Superbowl.

I'm really jealous! Gotta get a fix, even if I'm working and not carrying a gun! Maybe next week if I can put the appts. together.

Thanks to all of you for the nice comments. IT IS GOOD TO BE BACK. It has been an interesting time in our lives. It is great to finally be out of the swamps of Menominee and back home. Yes, Dunerat we did torch that ourselves. (Love your terminology) It is great for kayaks, bikes, etc. Goody, the paint job was done by a local man who lives in the Soo. HE IS AWESOME. He is a former National Guard and painted all the vehicles from European to Asian. I can connect you if you are interested. Best to all who roam here.

To add to my other post. Bittersweet Ski area in West Michigan and one of her sisters were the 1st to open in all of Michigan. I watched peoples on the hill last night. I told my wife I wanted to go kiss the ground/snow. I may be weird but I like winter.

Just took another look at the 2nd photo and, Mary, you're right ~ it does look like little legs and feet ~ perhaps 'line-dancing'.;)
