Snow has arrived in many parts of the U.P. the last few days, more in some places than others. According to the weather report, though, it may not stay around for good just yet, but for now we get to enjoy some looks at the new fallen snow in the Marquette area, snapped by Aladino Mandoli, when he was out and about with his trusty camera.

I didn't get a chance to ask Dino where exactly he was snapping away, so feel free to try to name the locations of each of the photos. All I know for sure is that they were just mesmerizing for me, when I first saw them. Each one pretty much defines why folks like me stay here in the freezing cold and snow, all winter long. It's just so beautiful, that you don't want to miss any of the seasons here, including winter.

Of course I can say that now, when the snow is just arriving on the ground, but I may be singing a different tune, come March and April, if the snow is still falling. But for now, I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the talents of Mr. Mandoli and his camera!

I keep coming back to look at the first photo. It is amazing and needs to be framed. You are one excellent photographer Mr. Mandoli!You could most definitely frame and sell! You and mr. Brimm put some of us amateurs to shame.

Thank you all for the kind words! I am humbled. These shots were taken just outside of Trout Creek about two weeks ago. Connie and I were on our way to Rochester, Mn. and there had been an early snowfall. I found it beautiful and had to stop for a while to get the shots. The river and bridge is Bond Falls. Let's get ready for winter!!!
