Windy has kind of been the theme for the past few days here in the North Country. And with the wind, has been some ominous looking clouds in the skies. Frank Jezek sent us two good examples of what I'm talking about, from the Ontonagon area.
Both shots were snapped in the early morning and you can see that Lake Superior is all stirred up and rolling in to shore bright and early, shrouded by storm clouds up above. In the bottom photo the sunrise is pinking up the sky where the clouds have separated briefly to let you see that there really is a sun behind them somewhere.
I'm still holding out that hope for a bout of unseasonably warmer weather before the snow flies. I'm just not quite in the winter frame of mind yet. ;->

Beautiful shots, Frank! I'm with you, Mary ~ hoping to see "Indian Summer" soon. That's supposed to occur after the first heavy frost ~ and we've had one of those down here already.

Thanks Frank! Great shots!
There's those 'gales of November' we always talk about.
