Right now in the Keweenaw, the weather is frightful, but here on the Pasty Cam it is still delightful! Actually, it's not quite frightful yet, as it's been in the 40's the past few days, but rainy, rainy, rainy.

Today, we're going to pretend it's a bit warmer and drier, too, as we head outside to play in the leaves with Kathy Archambeau's grandkids. You know you want to, right? It's so great to see kids playing the old fashioned way, outside in the leaves using imagination and simple joy to entertain themselves.

I'm sure there are more than a few of you reading this that remember days like this. Let's make it our mission to make sure the kids in our lives experience some of these simple pleasures, too!

Thanks for the reminder from the past, Kathy and Mary. I not only remember the fun, but also the wonderful smell of the Autumn leaves.:)

Way back when, my brothers would rake the leaves into a huge pile by our swing set so when we got the swing high enough we would dismount into that pile of leaves.

Wonderful and fun photos! Sure brings back memories of fun in the leaves. Nowadays-all I do is clean them up. I can vouch for the fact that large Oak trees are great sources of leaves!

My cordless leaf blower arrived this week, it's charging right now. Now, all I need is someone to turn it on and I'm all set.
