Good Morning everyone. I am curious, I have a question for those of you who live in Copper Country or who have been up there recently: what are those orange things floating in the Portage, in front of Mt Ripley? Are they containing a spill of some sort, or are they building something, or what? They are visible from the Tech Ripley web cam. Thank you in advance!

Thats part of the Ripley sewage project. Their going to run a line under the channel to the Houghton side.

I was wondering about those orange thingies, myself.

Thank you, RCW. Are they running the sewage under the Portage to use Houghton's sewage treatment plant, or something? Otherwise, I don't really understand why they would put it under the Portage.
