Oops - I did not have my morning tea when I wrote on the other page. Good Morning. Hi Dick FL. I heard last night that at least one person up in Copper Country did not have his snow legs yet. My youngest MTU son called last night. He avoided a near miss when was driving down the M-26 hill from Walmart to downtown Houghton, when all of a sudden a car going up the hill lost control and was skidding sideways in my son's lane. Fortunately, my son noticed him, was able to stop fast, and he knew there were no cars behind him. The other car managed to regain control before that car might have hit my son's car. I am really glad that my son has a lot of experience driving all kinds of vehicles, from cars to trucks since he drove trucks, including pulling trailers, for the city parks and rec department as a summer job for two long summers. Some driving experience goes a long ways when there are dangerous situations! Remember to watch out for the other drivers. Stay safe, especially now that we are getting slippery roads.

We've got drizzly weather but no snow, thankfully!!

WOW, Marianne! That was close. So happy he didn't hit your son. It seems people don't remember that they have to drive slower in that kind of weather.

Cold here again today but no snow! Hope you all have a great day!

25 degrees here in Linn County this morning. Snow all melted, leaves are falling. Fall color this year here is not happening.

Reminds me of a few close-calls in the past, sometimes my fault, sometimes not.

Well sheesh Alex, you ought to know Goldwings don't handle great in the snow!!!!

Speaking of snow, The Dr. and I are headed to Denver Friday for our annual geology conference. They are forecasting snow one of the nights so it will be nice to experience some of the white stuff. The only white I see in Texas is salt!

Well Capt., the problem is with the Goldwing being white and me being a cracka, some people just don't see me in a snowstorm.

Oh my, how I love the 2004 picture! It reminds me of the days when I was a kid and we'd go up in the woods behind our house and walk on the trestle. So much fun, but so scary at the same time. One time we were about in the middle when we could have sworn we heard a train. Boy did we get off of there in a hurry, lol. Oh the fun kids are missing out on these days!

Don't worry Alex, we'll get ya a nice bright pink jacket!
