Charlie, I meant to add ~ daughter saw a Ohio-licensed car in our county-area recently with a "I (Heart) Pasty" bumper sticker, and also had a "UP" decal on the rear window.;) Neat, huh?

I put nobody down for having fires in the evenings.....it is just hard to sleep with your bedroom window open, for some fresh air. Somebody once said to close my window....that is the same as me telling people not to have firepits.;O)

Depends also on what some people burn in them. Clean burning wood only. There are those that think its an incinerator.............

nothing like thinking of other people either.;O) A lady who lived right behiond us, before we moved, use to burn stuff in a barrel to the point I could not keep MY windows open for fresh air. She burned everyday, then every other day.

I guess I'm not sure what all the talk of these fires have to do with anything. I know it stinks (literally) to have to close your windows, but people are entitled to sit in their back yards enjoying a roaring fire. It's all part of summer and fall. I enjoy the smell until I come in and want to go to bed. Absolutely HAVE to take a shower then. When we go to my mom's, the neighbors have a fire just about every evening. We just shut the bedroom window until later. It's always fun to watch the kids roasting marshmallows over an open fire. And the adults enjoying the serenity is nice to see, too.

It's getting cold around here, windows are shut, furnace is on! Bring on the snow! ;)

I guess I am just one of those people, who take other people into consideration, with what I do.
