Good night. Been picking raspberries from the stalks that my dad brought down from Hubbell in the 1950's. Three stalks are now around 100.

Good Morning all. I hope all is well with you. Weather forecasters are talking about "wild, whacky weather" this weekend, with blizzards in South Dakota/Nebraska, to tornadoes in parts of Nebraska, to a tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico, heading for the New Orleans area, to extreme fire danger in the Los Angeles, CA area.

Mikie, that is amazing, to have 100-year old raspberry stalks. I had no idea they live anywhere near that long. You must have an incredible green thumb!

There are some interesting and beautiful pictures this morning, with the wispy fog over the Lift Bridge, Neil's the gorgeous rainbow, the bird in hand, and the gorgeous fall colors.

When are the freighter loads of salt and coal due to come into Hancock, with the supplies for this winter?

33 inches of snow reported in parts of South Dakota! You're right, Marianne, this is wild weather for October.

Sorry to confuse, I now have over one hundred stalks not stalks that are one hundred years old. They were originally planted in Dutch Valley in Hubbell. My dad took some home to Royal Oak and they grew there for many years. I took some to my house and planted them. They took over my garden and my neighbors also. Lucky I have such a nice guy living behind me. He has let me take over where he planted his tomato plants.
