Of any of the four seasons here in the Keweenaw, I'm betting that Autumn is the best of them to take to the air for a good look at the colors and thanks to E.Neil Harri, we get to do just that today.
The bonus is that he flew over Laurium, Calumet and Albion as he snapped away with his camera and while there aren't as many trees in the towns, you still get a glimpse of the colors while flying over all the homes and buildings. If you're from any of these locations, either past or present, perhaps you can have some fun picking out your house.
Neil actually snapped the town photos last week one day, while the last photo, zeroing in on Mount Houghton and looking toward the tip of the Keweenaw was snapped a week earlier, when the colors were at their peak up in that location. That's certainly quite the vista with a sea of color to enjoy!
When I saw that first photo I knew that Neil had been busy. Those are great shots! Thanks Neil ~ and Mary for posting 'em!:)

Greetings:
It has been a long time for me (1999) but isn't "Laurium Again" really an aerial shot of Calumet and "Calumet" really Laurium Again?
That is not Albion either. That is Laurium again, north of First Street... nice pics
