Its fall harvest time at the Grego Farm in Atlantic Mine, so there are plenty of pumpkins and gourds to choose from for autumn decorations. That's where Judy Byykkonen and her family headed over the weekend to pick out their pumpkins. They participated in weighing them to determine the cost of each one and then of course had to pose with their bounty!

By the look on Judy's grandson's face in the third photo, I'd say those were some pretty heavy pumpkins. And that one in the fourth photo is almost as big as Judy's little granddaughter…they sure picked out some good size ones.

To complete your fall decorations, there is also a good variety of colorful gourds, as shown in the last two photos. I don't know why, but I really enjoy the looks of these bumpy looking gourds in the fall. They look so neat arranged in a basket like that or just sitting on the steps to welcome visitors.

Capt and Alex, you guys are too much! Thanks for not vining about the season like a lot of these Lopers are doing about the advent of snow. Michigan in the fall is breathtaking no matter where you live, but I much prefer to be UP!
