When fall rolls around UP North, people start getting ready for the change in season by decorating with the colors of autumn. Laurie Bashaw decided to greet visitors to her home with an assortment of fall gourds, cornstalks and flowers and what a pretty arrangement they all make together. You can see in the background, that when the photo was taken, the tree in the driveway was just beginning to turn color, too.
Laurie also has Snoopy out to say hello, as he sits there in his pumpkin costume. This shot made me think of Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin. Maybe all along, Snoopy really was the Great Pumpkin!
What nice decorations, Laurie, fun, too.
Colors are beginning to change and are in various stages, depending on where you're located in the U.P., so it's a bit hard to give a general report. I'm guessing here, but I'd say you probably have a week or maybe two in some places, to still enjoy the color season, but don't hold me to that time frame. :->

Beautiful job, Laurie! Snoopy needs to lose some weight or he'll never fly in his 'sopwith camel' again.;>
