Wolves become a threat to my dog or horses you bet I will get the 22 out. Wolves are not my family members. But if I lived in the U.P. more than likely I would not have horses so I would not have to deal with this.

Deb S., there is a big maple within sight of my house and it already turning color. It has mostly yellow, orange, and a little green on it (in that order). It looks magnificent among all the others which are still all green. But they, too, will be coming along soon, I'm sure.

Deb, for some reason I assumed you were referring to trees changing color, as I had just been chatting with someone about trees changing color in western MI. Please forgive me if I misunderstood.

Jose, I have lots of maples but there are 2 smaller ones (as opposed to the HUGE ones) that always change color before any of the others. They are right together so we always called them our 'twin maples'. The color change starts at the top and works downward.

Hi, Shirley. Thanks for replying. They're saying that we can expect a dazzling display of color this year and I can't wait for those day-long color tours and cool fall temperatures. I'm thinking that by the end of this month or early October the colors should be at their peak. I imagine you get the same in Ohio just a couple of weeks later.

I'm not for the "random" killing of wolves, but problem brazen wolves have to be delt with in my opinion. If trapping/relocating doesn't work, they need to be put down. If they threaten my family or pets, I would take immediate action!

Hi Jose, I noticed I left out part of the reason for my post ~ the 'twin maples' are already turning color. Yep, our full-color comes much later than your area.
