Good morning

Good morning!! Love the wind surfing picture. We saw actual surfers up on the North Shore this weekend, but the waves weren't as great as they are in this picture. Also, exactly what kind of freighter is that in 2006, with the squarelike front? We saw one of those docked in Two Harbors while we were out walking the breakwater wall. That was fun to watch but we weren't sure exactly why the difference in shapes.

Have a great day, everybody!

Can anyone share an update for Mike Sprenger? Haven't seen an update since the fundraiser months ago.

Thanks ~

I've also been wondering about Mike, Jbuck ~ and also Amy Roberts' condition. I've been keeping them in prayer for a long time.

Yes, Shirley, me too. Have been praying and hoping that no news was good news

BTW, the Antique Tractor Parade is happening now (9am) on the Mackinac Bridge ~ you can see the people gathering on the Brdige Cam.

Thanks for the 'heads-up' on the bridge, Jbuck. Once when we were vacationing in Mack City there was a nighttime parade of semis all lit up with their unique horns blowing as they crossed the bridge. That was a pretty sight/sound!

Deb
That "squarelike front" isn't the front, it's the rear.

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Friday, September 6, 2013 - 10:50 am:

Deb, don't know the exact name of that freighter, but that is the style of the 1000ft. long freighters, like the Mesabi Miner.

Deb...I hope your pants are not on backwards. Momma told me there'd be days like this :-)

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Friday, September 6, 2013 - 11:57 am:

That's funny Alex, momma told me not to come.... ;-)

Very nice set of pictures today. Thank you!
LOL Alex!

As my U.S. veteran-sailor husband used to remind me ~ ships don't have 'fronts' and 'rears', they have 'bows' and 'sterns'.;->

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Friday, September 6, 2013 - 08:12 pm:

But when one bows, it's the rear that sticks out........
