Today's photos come to us from Dotty Kinnun, along with the story behind them:
We had an interesting experience out here in Bootjack last week…there were four young eagles having a spat on our dock. We think it started because one had a fish and the others wanted it. There was an amazing amount of squawking and screeching and fluttering around. Then one of the eagles got thrown off the dock into the water. He swam, doing an awkward sort of a breast-stroke, all the way around the end of the dock, and waded to shore on the other side. Then he sat there and sulked for awhile, until one of the others came over to attack him again. And then suddenly everybody flew away. Awesome!
Thanks so much, Dotty, for sharing your photos and the excitement of the moment.

Amazing photos. I've never seen anything like them. This summer I watched an eagle, a vulture and a crow fight over the carcass of a porcupine. I had never seen anything like that either.
