Thank You Shirley! He is a dream. He has a lot of the same bloodlines Michelle's little mare that passed away last week had. We are looking so forward to his homecoming the latter part of next month when he will be old enough to wean, the same weekend of Michelle's birthday! I think this was meant to be in so many ways! :)

Back when I was a boy of 10 to 13 years old of sometime around there my Aunt, Elsie Pelto, worked in this building as an information person for the traveling tourists.
When we would travel North on 41 and you could first see this building from atop the hill it was getting home to the Copper Country and especially Mohawk where my family lived and worked.

Revisiting Gen John Bell Hood; just received a book from the Civil War Trust.

It discusses the death of the General, his wife, and their oldest child and how P G T Beauregard published the memoir that the General had been preparing. In doing so the remaining Hood children were provided an income; they were adopted by families in LA, MS, GA, KY and NY.

My good friend Karen S. I met here on Pasty and we are cousins she discovered through my maternal Grandpa John Stovall researched my Stovall, mom's family, side of my family history. She found the info I wasn't real sure of, I thought Gen. John Bell Hood was my 6th or 7th great Uncle on my grandmother Janie B Hood-Stovall actually Gen. John Bell Hood was Grandma Janie's dad's younger brother. That makes Gen. Hood my great, great Uncle, much closer related than I thought!

Karen Spaeth has researched my Stovall family history back to the 1500's. Karen is a gracious lady and I'm proud to be family with her!
