Good 'rainy' morning from southern OH.

Good morning! The sun's out here in the Copper Country today.

The rainbow picture was taken from a spot that we visited on Wednesday. I have a similar picture without the rainbow.

Anybody know which way Jon took to Gay to see Thayers Lake? Don't know that I've seen that one.

Have a great day, everybody!

Deb, I got curious about Thayer Lake this morning, too. Using Google Maps, it looks like the way to get there would be to get off 41 at Mohawk and get on the Mohawk to Gay Road heading generally southeast. Reference points for the road that goes north up to Thayer Lake: roughly six and a half miles from 41, about three and a half miles past C-4 (the Copper City to Gay Road), and about 1.2 miles past Camp Creek. Looks like the photo was shot at the northeast corner of Thayer Lake where the Tobacco River runs out of the lake.

If the road is open Deb, you get there from the Gay/Mohawk road. Leave Mohawk/Fulton, the sign will be down on your left a few miles I believe. We've needed 4 wheel drive at times to get back there, be careful.

Yes, you can also get there from US41, but you stated from Gay. Sometimes if they are logging, you can't get back there. Also, Marty and I have been back there in the truck hunting and glad we had 4 wheel drive. My opinion...visit another favorite spot with you limited time U.P. there, lol.

I figured that had to be the way to get there because I always go to Gay through Traprock Valley and didn't think I ever saw anything that looks like a lake. One more thing to put on my bucket list, lol.

Thanks, everybody!!

Growing up, we always called it Finn's Lake.
