When Henry Sakari makes his morning commute to work, he passes by the Hancock Beach and is always checking out the water conditions along the way. Recently he noticed the complete stillness of the water and the perfectly mirrored reflections it was producing, so he had to stop to snap a few photos to share. It is truly amazing that the water can become so still, that it acts like a mirror and doubles the pleasure of being here in the Keweenaw. I think if you turn that third photo upside down, you would not be able to tell if it was the reflection or the actual land mass on top. Very cool, indeed!
Henry also sent in a photo from that very same day, only this time it was taken on his way home in the evening. Those sure are some dark looking clouds, but they're reflecting the redness of the sun so beautifully, as it goes down below the horizon.
From morning until night, the beauty of the Copper Country never ceases to amaze me.

I love the photos of perfectly still water, showing reflections, like the first two! Thank you, Henry and Mary, for sharing.
