Mike Schneider likes the shores of Lake Superior and seems to get to them often, either on his way to and from work, at lunchtime or when he makes a special run out to Presque Isle Park in Marquette, just to see what the Big Lake is up to.

Today's shots are from a couple of those visits recently and they show a few of the many moods that Lady Superior takes on with the changes in weather. My favorite is Mike's first photo, with the wave just cresting and the splash caught in the air like that.

A close second would be the number two shot here today. Just look at the amazing color in Superior's water, not to mention the spray of water suspended in the air over the rocks.

Mike's last photo is no slouch either...love those rocky walls bordering the water and then the single wave caught as it rolls in to shore. Yes, indeed, Lake Superior changes with the wind and every mood she exhibits is beautiful in its own way.

Awesome photos! Brings me back to my week up there. Had such a great time just driving the lake shore and taking picture after picture, and sitting there just enjoying the view!! Thanks, Mike!!

All three shots are very nice, but I love the color of the water in the 2nd one. Hmmm. Full moon tomorrow, 'eh?
