Just musing...
The straight and narrow path wouldn't be so narrow if more people would walk it.

Good morning!! Dan's wavy sunset is so beautiful. The last day of the month never disappoints, that's for sure. However, I sure do wish it weren't the last day of July already. Summer is coming to a close and it's like we haven't had much yet.

Oh well, have a happy hump day everybody!

By DEAN SCHWARTZ SR. (Lulu) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 08:42 am:

Another day here in the awsome U.P. Today is my
Bride's and my anniversary, 14 year's, can't think
of a better place to spend it here in the Copper
Country. We will more than likely go to the "HUT"
for Dinner. By the way "GOOD MORNING".

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 09:06 am:

Dean, may the honeymoon never stop!

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 09:22 am:

Congratulations to you and your Bride, Dean! May your years together ever be blessed!

Pat & Glenda, I agree!

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 09:49 am:

There's a chance we might see you at The Hut, Dean; Dr. Nat and I were pondering going there this evening for dinner ourselves.

Today is one of those necessary days for anyone on vacation or on the road for an extended period of time....... laundry day!!!

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 09:58 am:

Capt, if you meet with Dean, please take pictures to share!!

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 10:05 am:

'Pretty Pleeze' looks like she was about to sing, Janie.;> What a darling face!

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 10:19 am:

Shirley, she was nickering :) She still is a stunning girl today at age 8.

By DEAN SCHWARTZ SR. (Lulu) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 10:55 am:

Capt. we will more than likely be at the Hut around 5:30 P.M. We will be wearing grey shirts w/blue flowers (matching). looking foward to meeting you and Dr. Nat.

By DEAN SCHWARTZ SR. (Lulu) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 11:00 am:

The wife (Suzy) want's to know if anyone out there in Pasty land know anything about tatting.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 11:11 am:

My mama used to do lace tatting ~ it appeared very tedious, with a need of steady fingers.

By Dale Beitz (Dbeitz) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 11:56 am:

My girlfriend knows how to tat. She hasn't done it since we've been together (too many other projects), but she's mentioned that she knows how to do it.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 05:09 pm:

Since she's a miniature, I assume her 'nickering' is 'soft-spoken', Janie?;>

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 05:24 pm:

Shirley, she is so feminine and petite, she does have a soft and non demanding nicker. Unlike the boys! lol! :)

By Uncle Chuck (Unclechuck) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 08:32 pm:

Dean and capt.....whitefish?

greetings from ATL....I hear Marquette calling my name! Lol

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 - 09:22 pm:

Actually, I believe we both had the Lake Trout which was quite yummy!!

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Friday, August 2, 2013 - 09:41 am:

Good Morning, a couple of days late! I have to weigh in on the subject of tatting. Many, many years ago, my Mom brought me some fabric and tatting threads back from their trip to Norway. I did not get a chance to try it yet. I may not be able to do it now because I now have rheumatoid arthritis, which has done a number on my hands. Anyway, I had never seen it done over the years, and I can't read the patterns Mom brought back from Norway because they are in Norwegian. However, I remembered that YouTube is often quite good on a number of other crafts, etc, so I looked and found a number of links for your wife to check out, if she wants to learn how. If she already does it, I would love to see photos of her work. Happy Belated Anniversary.

Since there are so many not so "family oriented" things on You-Tube, Marianne, your link was automatically censored out, but if folks would like to find videos on Tatting, they can just do a Google Search, "Tatting for Beginners" and they'll get some info that way. Thanks! :-)
