Are we sure the 2009 picture isn't REALLY Capt Paul when he was that age?

Good Morning. I, too, am a fan of the Bond Falls photo. I will have to look it up to see where it is because I seem to have forgotten.

I see that Bond Falls are near Paulding, but I have not found yet how far you have to walk to view them?

Guaranteed that isn't me; I'd be down with a handlens actually looking at the rock and not sitting on it!! ;-)

Marquette photos will be coming soon as it was a picture perfect day to be there. On tap today: exploring more of the Keweenaw including some very old (150+ years) minesites, some of the first ones up here in fact.....

there is a parking lot at Bond Falls and a path to the falls, it is not a long walk at all

Marianne it's only a short walk from the parking lot. I walked with my cane and a cat on a leash. Good thing a nice young family happened to be there also. When Smudge decides to jump off the boardwalk into the brush along the walk, the nice young dad jumped down to rescue the dangling cat! Then the goofy cat did the same thing at Bear Belly Bar and Grill at Lac LaBelle! No more walking him in such circumstances again. Hasn't been on vacation with me since.

...and that can't be Capt in 2009, if it was that rock would be hidden from view. All I'm implying is that the rock is smaller than it looks :-)

Bond Falls is a beautiful place. The resevoir lake is beautiful. A lot of campsites to pitch your tent or bring your RV. If you want, you can just bring a picnic lunch and sit by the water, plenty of picnic tables and grills. I highly recommend these falls.

Also, if you are in the area during sundown, you have to check out the "mystery light".

Made it here to Mohawk yesterday, went and did the tourist thing today , and went to visit all the family.
