Best wishes on the hip replacement. The therapy afterward can be hard, but tell her not to give up...it's necessary.

Walked the Ontonagon Township Park beach today and saw something that looked like fun. It was kiteboarding in Lake Superior. I haven't seen this before UP here but then, I'm not looking in the right places. :) It was a perfect day for it, the wind gusts were out of the northwest at 15-20 miles an hour.

It was a perfect day to do anything you wanted!

Way back in the day my oldest brother used to do something similar, Para-sailing pulled by a jet boat.

Did that in Cancun, Janie. It was fun for me but not for Pooh, the boat didn't have enough power to pull 235 lbs. out of the water. :)

It was like being a bird and flying over the land with just the wind, the air and the sea. :)

I have had the most interesting week learning more about my grandmother's, Janie Beatrice Hood-Stovall, family tree since the Sunday's Pasty Cams cam notes on the Civil War. With Karen's (Douginwi) help. With our combined resources found Karen & I are distant cousins tracing back to my grandmother's married name, Stovall. Also found out Gen. John B. Hood is much closer related to me than I thought. Grandma's dad, William Hood was Gen. Hood's older brother, making Gen. Hood my great, great uncle. I can't thank Karen enough for helping me with this family tree including her and I both a part of a limb. :)

Our family knew some Stovalls in Nashville ~ may be some more of yours and Karen's kin.

Since we're on a delay, thought I'd pop in and let you know that daughter, Pam, is doing GREAT!
Alex and Erica, she even walked down the hall this morning ~ with a walker ~ but hey, that's a good start!:)
