Good morning ~ a blessed Sunday to Pasty cam-ers

"GOOD MORNING"

A beautiful day in the UP. Getting a breeze off of the "Big Lake". Spent most of the afternoon on the beach looking for "beach glass", enjoying the view and enjoying the water.

Thought about this quote from my favorite weatherman, Karl Bohnak;

"Summer is just a long period between snow storms."

What is beach glass? I have heard that when lightning strikes sandy areas, such as out in the desert or on the beach, it forms glass cones or pyramids. Hmmmm....

I wonder if they're experiencing power outages UP there in the Calumet area? I see mine is the only post here for today,(hmmmm, again).

Jose (Jtraveler) Beach glass is all of the very old bottles, glasses, etc. that have been "sanded", broken down and washed down by Lake Superior. They appear as little gems on the beach. The colors are; clear, opaque, green, blue, red and brown.
