Marilyn Bachorik doesn't let a little fog stop her from enjoying the sights around Copper Harbor. She recently made the rounds of the usual places that folks enjoy when visiting the area and was able to prove that even in foggy conditions, the beauty of the Keweenaw shines through.

The fog gives off more of an eerie feeling, especially when looking out over Lake Superior in the first scene. You definitely want to be on dry land when the fog is encompassing the Big Lake. But in Marilyn's second photo, the beauty of the roadside flowers is not hampered by the fog one bit.

Where it does take its toll though, is at the overlook and on top Brockway Mountain, since it totally obscured the town and everything below, from sight. In my opinion, though, it's still worth the drive to the top, no matter what the visibility may be.

Nice pix! The good news is that there is no charge. I wonder if they went back on a clearer day.

Always worth the drive no matter the weather. In fact I prefer the Harbor better in the the not so nice weather...less tourists more time to wander and enjoy time with the locals.

Sending this from the Bear Den in Copper Harbor. Weather is
a little warm for me but not as hot as back home in SW Ohio.
Great day on the Eagle River beach today and of course a
stop at The Jampot. We still have a few days left, but I'm
already starting to envy those that are coming up in just a few
days.

As the motto in the Harbor goes, "if you don't like the weather in the Harbor, just have a seat and wait a minute."
@Doug, hope you are enjoying your stay in the Bear Den. It's never ceased to amaze me how much warmer it can be up on the main road than just a few hundred feet away at the lake front. Of course a nice quick dip in da lake is all you need to refresh and cool off!
