If you've been a visitor to the Pasty Cam for awhile, then you know who Uncle Chuck (a.k.a. Chuck Paulson) is and how much he loves his visits to the Keweenaw. Well, he was just here last week and he sent in these photos to share with us all.

He surprised me by stopping in to say hi and then he took a small circle tour out to Gay, Little Betsy and Lac La Belle. His second photo is the glimpse from the road, of the cottage that he has talked about in the past. It belonged to his Dad (Grandpa Norm) and is where Marty, Chuck and the gang spent their hunting season each November, along with vacation time here in the U.P.

This was a quick business trip for Uncle Chuck, but even so, he made the time to take a small tour and take in as much as he could of the Copper Country during his short stay. Hope you can head back for a longer visit, soon, Chuck!

I recognized UC's cottage right away. I went looking either last fall or the year before when he was so depressed over it being sold. It's really a nice spot. It's a great area out there. We found a nice piece of land down the road from his former spot that we would have loved to build on. Dreaming again............

I knew that was UC's camp right away too. Made me a little sad to think about it but know that better days are ahead. There will be a new place where new memories are made. Keep the faith!

Thanks for the kind words everybody, not bad picture's from the Nokia! lol, Mary loaded the pic's after I sent them to her, and she sure tells the story very well too!
Hope to be back soon, maybe I can get Marty and take a road trip before deer season. Sure like looking at exsisting homes and property to build... maybe someday.
