Alex, I'm glad your eyes are as sharp as your wit. Otherwise, no Rotary emblem for Dunerat today!

My father was a Rotarian back in the 60's. I got curious about the emblem and a little research revealed the original Rotary emblem was a wagon wheel in motion with dust. The 24-cog, 6-spoke gear emblem was adopted in 1924. Note that the current emblem includes a keyway to signify usefulness.

Let's hear it for all the great community service efforts of Rotary International, including their ongoing work in the fight against polio!

Good morning and Happy Flag Day!

I just saw that sign while in Eagle River to see the falls and to take in the sights along 5 mile point road. Beautiful, as always.

Was checking out the Big Betsy River, and was wondering when the sand turns from the gray to the beautiful color that it is there. I love that stretch of the lake. But then, I love any stretch of Lake Superior.

Loved the robin's nest, also! Plus it's always great to see all of those American flags blowing in the breezes!!
