Barb Bouwkamp recently spent some time at the camp out near Big Traverse and kept herself busy snapping photos around the Lake out there. She ended up at the Schoolcraft Township Park on the Mink Farm Road, where she spotted a bunch of bikes, but no riders in sight. She looked around the playground area, hoping for some photo opportunities with the kids that belong to the bikes and finally found one on the monkey bars, who then led her to some others in the group that were checking out the runoff from the sloughs. Normally that runoff flows right into Lake Superior, but on this day it was backed up.

Barb said the kids had fun wading in the warmer water of the sloughs and then jumping into chilly Lake Superior and back and forth again and again. She even met up with the kids mother, whom she told that they might end up appearing on the Pasty Cam. Good prediction, Barb!

Thank You Tom, we just love her! She is growing so fast and very playful. When she does nap we find Mavis cuddling with our Scottie, Brimley. Best of friends!
