I've meant to ask, and maybe it's already been asked and answered, but why is there never a title for the 2012 picture??

Love it when those birds grace us with their presence!! We've seen quite a few different birds out here this year that we don't always see. It's been wonderful!

Often the titles for the 2012 picture do appear (like they did yesterday), but sometimes (like today) we miss it. Will try to do better.

Could someone please identify the yellow colored bird?

Bruce, I Googled black bird with yellow head, clicked on a pic of the same bird and said it is a Yellow Headed Blackbird.

Yellow-headed Blackbird....a bird that nests in wet areas or marshes in our Summers.... uncommon....South-west and coastal US, Mexico in Winter time....much more common western part of the country even this time of year!

The first time I saw a Yellow-headed blackbird was near Mt. Whitney in Calif. Had no idea what it was called, so went into the visitor's center and asked someone, and was told "A Yellow-headed blackbird". Talk about feeling like a dufus! :<

Walleye opened UP here today. Even the mail lady had a substitute. Town was dead in Ontonagon. Everyone was at the rivers.

Me? I'm going fishing with Pooh.
