The western end of the U.P. received a good covering of snow last week with the storm that blew through, so when Frank Jezek of Ontonagon went to check out the Bonanza Falls on the Big Iron River, he found snow still in evidence a few days later. He also found the water rushing and roaring at quite a good rate.

A few days before the storm hit, Joanie Sinkler was there and the river was running even higher, since this is the same spot as Frank's photos, but the water is so high that you can't even see the rocks, just the brown tinted waters. Kind of reminds me of chocolate milk.

Yet another place to put on my bucket list!

Good morning from western Lower Michigan. Just cloudy, dreary here today...expect a little rain around mid-day. Wish summer would hurry up a little.
