E. Neil Harri gives us all a "bird's eye view" of an Eagle's nest in the Lake Gogebic area. But not just any old eagle's nest, no siree, he found one with a chick being fed dinner to share with us. Pretty amazing to get a glimpse of feeding time, where Neil says the main course was "baby food fish". He also commented that the little snow you can see still around the nest in the shot, will keep that fish cold, so it stays fresh longer. Thanks for taking us higher, Neil! Eagle-eye, Neil! By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Monday, May 6, 2013 - 07:59 am:
Very cool! My hubby will love these pictures. On every trip UP there he's got his "eagle eyes" (pardon the pun) out there trying to spot every eagle he can. What a majestic bird!! By Deb S. What a powerful bird. We never see any eagles By Diana P. (Diana) on Monday, May 6, 2013 - 08:22 am: Amazing eagle pics today. Those eagle web cams are fun to watch, too. I used to watch one from Sidney, BC, which someone posted here quite a few years ago. :-) By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Monday, May 6, 2013 - 08:43 am: Thank you Neil and Susan, for these beautiful shots of a beautiful bird! The only eagle I ever saw (in the wild) was in Wyoming. I love eagles!:> By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Monday, May 6, 2013 - 08:44 am: By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Monday, May 6, 2013 - 08:56 am: Pictures of Eagles are always a treat. We see so many flying over our farm living near the Cedar River and it's backwaters they are plentiful. Never tire seeing them! By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Monday, May 6, 2013 - 02:49 pm: Beautiful photos of the U.S.'s National Bird. |
