Flooding here in Eastern Iowa. The Cedar River is flooding parts of our farm......again.

Syl's was still there last time we were in Ontonogon...... but that has been a while! We ate there every day for one meal or another.

Hello, everyone. I'm kinda new here and I'm enjoying reading your posts. I used to belong to a social network that closed down in late 2013 and really miss the friends that I made there over the years. That network shut down without giving members warning that anything was about to happen. Consequently, most people, myself included, lost contact with most of their friends. But I just wanted to say that it looks like I may have found a great place in which to make new friends. I hope I don't bore anyody with my long-windedness as sometimes happens with my posts.

Been a sitting on the edge of a chair afternoon. This mega rain/storm system rolling through has made 2 good friends mares go into labor and each friend had 3 colts each born since this morning. All six babies are doing great and so adorable!

Hang in there Janie; I'm sure you know how to handle it.

And how's this for weather: at 1:00 we were at 82 degrees with atrocious humidity, by 2:00 we were at 47 with a stiff north wind. Welcome to Spring!!

Lavonne and Melinda are actually having fun helping and watching the new colt deliveries. They both have cams set up so the deliveries can be watched. Been a fun afternoon watching their miracles.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. Nice to hear how you're dealing with the weather. In West Michigan we're expecting 1-1/2" of rain overnight and widespread localized flooding. The good thing about all this rain is that it will hopefully raise the level of the Great Lakes.
