Linda and Joe Schneller have recently had a few visitors out in Bootjack lately. Linda said that she counted right around 50 turkeys and tried to get as many of them in the pictures as she could. That sure is a lot of turkeys to see all together like that. She also said that the deer in the first photo was just trying to get to the other side of the road, as its mother was over there. So it seems that the turkeys and the deer were just crossing the road to get to the other side and away from each other.
The bottom photo comes to us from Bill and Eloise Haller. Bill said they spied this pheasant right in their driveway and Eloise grabbed the camera for a quick shot of it, since it really isn't a common sight around these parts.
Same goes for turkeys...it used to be unusual to see wild turkeys this far north, but it seems we're seeing them more often here UP North in the Keweenaw. Deer, pheasants and a rafter of turkeys, oh my!

Neat pictures! We have plenty of Wild Turkeys about, neighbors like to feed them. But we never see Pheasants anymore, all the corn fields are now housing editions. I miss their calls.

I agree with you, Deb, these are all great pictures but I love that first one! Looks like the deer might be saying "Who invited you?".:>
