Chad Johnson made a trek out to the Redridge area and snapped a few interesting photos of the old Redridge School there. His first shot piqued my interest the most, with the reflection of the tree against the window shade. Chad said that what drew him to take this photo, was the row of books on the window sill. It really is a unique shot!

Then of course the second and third photos show you more of the school building. You can see the window from the first picture, there in the second shot. It's the one just to the left of the entrance doors and the reflection shows up faintly in that view, too.

If you're interested in a bit of history on the Redridge School, check out this webpage: www.stantontownship.com. This link, supplied to us by Chad, has a wealth of information about this school and other schools that operated in Stanton Township.

Chad's last two photos were taken of the journey there and back. That's his furry friend Zoe, who was thoroughly enjoying the ride and checking out the snowy scenery along the way. And of course the last photo is the infamous covered road that you take on the way to Redridge. Its name takes on a different meaning in the winter months, since it isn't covered over by leaves on the branches of the trees, but certainly is covered with plenty of snow. It still takes on that look of going on forever down that row of trees and in this photo, almost looks like it will stop at the big pine tree down at the end. Kind of a neat illusion.

The fist photo is exceptionally lovely but i really enjoyed them all. I also like to make the trek to Redridge once in awhile. So much beauty surrounds us. Great pics,Chad!

My favorite is the first one...I love reflections, this one looks like a painting. And of course Zoe stole my heart.;>
Thanks, Chad!

I am so happy to see the Redridge school in such good condition. Too many wonderful buildings are going away.

Yes, the school really looks well kept. I get the idea it is no longer a school, what is it being used for today?

Looks like it would make a nice home.

Great pictures! I especially like the last one. Any road pictures, especially covered with whatever, get my attention. Beautiful!
