Liz Siivola is a regular on the Swedetown ski trails and happily shares her skiing with us today. Her first shot shows a beautifully groomed ski trail, sunshine and shadows included at no charge. Liz says there is plenty of skiing to be had yet, but her second photo reminds us that it won't be too long and it will all be melting and skiing the trails will be a distant memory for another season.

The bottom photo is the bonus you get when you ski on the Papa Bear trail. You get to a clearing and there is Lady Superior off in the distance. Just a reminder that the Big Lake is never very far away when you're in the Keweenaw.

Now would be a good time to get yourself outdoors here UP North...the air is still crisp, but it is warming up and before you know it, the bugs will be out there buzzing, so do like Liz does and get out there and enjoy the season at hand.

My favorite is the second one....unique! You're right, Alex, it does look like a decorated Christmas tree.

I especially like the icicles hanging from the pine tree. Reminds me of the icicle decorations you put on Christmas Trees (only 286 days until Christmas).
