Hi. Well, John Dee should be happy with the Copper Country storm. Ironically, my Mich Tech son is co-oping for a company in Ohio from now until August. They have him up in Houghton now, helping them recruit at Tech's Career Fair. Tech closed at noon, with no classes. And I understand the police are pulling the snow plows off the roads. My son really wants to get out of Houghton by 7 am tomorrow, but I'm not sure that's going to happen now. If he does, he may have to go south through Wisconsin, instead of across the UP, and the Big Mac, and postpone his quick stops in Midland and Troy. This is really wicked weather! Tech doesn't very often close, although I saw that Northern had closed a couple of times already this year. Roads between Marquette and Munising are closed because of wrecks and blowing/drifting snow. Deb, I'm not sure this is what you were hoping for? Stay safe you all UP there!

Beautiful winter scenes in the slideshow today, and especially right out of my mom's window. I'm really glad we were here to see this storm, but I just hope it's cleared out enough for us to get out of here tomorrow.
Have a great rest of the day, everybody!

The weatherman was wrong for Ontonagon, he predicted 8" of snow for today, we got 13" and loving it. Just remember; embrace the snow, find some kind of winter sport that is fun. We have.
