The first picture reminded me of the freighters that greeted my
husband and me as we entered and left the U.P. on our Christmas
trip. A freighter passed under us as we drove across the Mighty
Mac on Christmas Eve morning. Similarly, as we headed back to
Toronto via the Soo on the morning of December 30th, a freighter,
headed for the locks, floated under us. It doesn't get much better
than that--though the eagle that flew out over the Keweenaw Bay
on our drive to the Copper Country was wondrous to behold.

My brother in law, Ray DuTemple, from Hubbell was the stewart on the Jackson.
