I don't know computers as much as others, but just now I got today's Pasty pics, and had been trying since before 8 AM, and the 1st post was at 8. Why did it take almost an hour to show up on my computer?

"… Why did [today's Pasty pics] take almost an hour to show up on my computer?"

All that busy Christmas shopping is causing traffic jams on da Internet? (I 'druther have some Yooper jams from the Jam Pot!) <wink>

By jbuck (Jbuck) on Saturday, December 15, 2012 - 01:46 pm:

After the evil attack on the school children & teachers yesterday the final verses of "I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, seem as appropriate today as when they were written during the Civil War:

And in despair I bowed my head;
"There is no peace on earth," I said;
"For hate is strong,
And mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!"

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead; nor doth He sleep!
The Wrong shall fail,
The Right prevail,
With peace on earth, good-will to men!"

Let's always remember that the right will prevail, that God is Love and will one day return to rule a new Heaven and a new Earth where evil will not tread.

Thank you so much for that post, Jbuck! Words that really 'ring' true on this sad day. And Amen on your last sentence!

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Saturday, December 15, 2012 - 02:33 pm:

jbuck, that brought actual tears to my eyes on this terribly sad day. Thank you!!

I do so love that picture of Lake Linden! I've been staring and staring at it. I found my mom's place, and my former in-law's as well. That is such a great picture. I would love to frame it and hang it on my wall. What do you think, Neil? Do you allow people to take your pictures and frame them? That picture just brings back so many memories, and I've been feeling so sad since yesterday's news, that it actually brought a little joy into my life. I'm trying to feel better by putting Christmas music on and wrapping presents, but the feeling of hopelessness is always there. We can't let these people win, though. I think they want to bring us all down. God will prevail in the end.

Oh Yeah, They say it's your birthday! Well it's my birthday, too! Yeah!

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Saturday, December 15, 2012 - 07:17 pm:

Well HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Theresa! :)
You were born the year I got married.

Happy birthday, Theresa. It's my son-in-law's birthday today too.
It must have been a good day to be born.
