I remember Haug's being magical at Christmas. And my husband and I registered there for our wedding gifts. Wish it was still there.

Holy smokes! What a great slideshow today! I didn't think you could top the snowy shores, and then came the Tobacco River. Then there was the snow covered branches and the frozen drippings.
But my favorite was Patty's cat. That cat looks just like our cat, mouse (aptly named by my then 3 year old son because she looked like a mouse). We've since had to have her put down because she got old and sick, but that picture sure did remind me of her. I loved that cat!! And that's the way they are, too, right in the middle of whatever you're trying to do. Thanks, Patty!

I also have fond memories of Haug's. During the 4
years I was attending Tech, my Mother's birthday and
Christmas presents all came from Haugs; all
varieties of copper dishes, bowls, and knickknacks.
They all belong to my wife now. It's been 27 years
since she passed.

What a sad day in Newtown Conn. What is going on in our country.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Friday, December 14, 2012 - 05:59 pm:

What is going on in our country you ask? They took God out of schools. I'll say no more because this isn't the place to argue this one. I am so very sad for the people in this town.
