A little over a week ago, Henry Sakari decided to take a drive to town, and this was the scenery to which he was treated along the way. The canal was completely still, with not even the smallest ripple and reflecting everything in sight. We actually have more snow than is showing in Henry's photos right now, all the ground is white, but we're still at less than what we normally would have this time of year.
We've gotten a pretty good response to our "Toast to 2012" project, asking for current winter photos to be sent in, with a winner being selected to receive a bag of Trenary Toast. So good in fact, that we won't be able to get them all on the Pasty Cam before the end of the year. Because of that, we've decided to extend the sharing of these photos into the new year, so a winner won't be picked until we can share something from everyone that has sent in a photo by December 31st. That means there's still time for you to snap something and get in the running for the delicious prize! Remember, we'd like them to be current winter photos and if you're a former Yooper living somewhere else and you have a winter photo that reminds you of the U.P., you can send that in for consideration, too!
