Those of us that are fortunate enough to live here in the beautiful North Country called the U.P., often take for granted the simple, everyday beauty that surrounds us. So I consider us quite lucky to have a few newcomers to the photo team, including Emma Stout, who gets out there and captures the ordinary things that the rest of us might miss in our hurry to get everything done each day.
Emma snapped today's two pine branch and frozen droplet photos, on her way home from school. She said these pine trees are in her Grandma and Grandpa's back yard. I like how she notices the little details and gets her camera right in there to capture them so we all get a glimpse of the beauty we miss when we're focused on getting from point a to point b. I think we should all take a lesson from Emma and slow down our day long enough, to get outside and find at least one small beauty in our surroundings each day

BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS....and I too can smell the fragrance of whatever coniferous it is...ha ha. I have always thought that coniferous is an odd word and I do know that it comes from cone.

Great photos. I love how Emma captured the ice droplets.

Yes, I should have known it wasn't a pine....have lots of them in my yard, and their 'needles' are much finer. Mary, you confused me.;-)
