It never ceases to amaze me, how winter can arrive overnight here UP North. That's how this latest dousing of snow arrived here in the Keweenaw. Thanksgiving day it was 57° and I was out riding my bike, and the very next morning, this is what it looked like when Lindsay White headed out to do a bit of hunting. Overnight, the snow had turned the woods into a winter wonderland, complete with a coating on the trees that looks like someone had frosted them.
No matter how you feel about snow... love it or hate it...you have to admit that it makes for some beautiful scenery and it really brightens up the landscape!

Beautiful. The 2nd one looks like last year's picture, with Judy's dog running through the woods. Spectacular!

It is a beautiful Winter Wonderland. And, here in mid-Michigan, our 63 on Thanksgiving Day turned into cold, and then snow. We were supposed to get less than 1/2 inch, but, oops, we got 3 to 4 inches here, turning our yard into a winter wonderland here, too!

That is "beautiful scenery", Mary, but.... My years of loving snow have passed.:>

i love taking the high road between hancock and calumet. all those trees covered in snow like they are holding onto millions of snowballs. it is pretty.

What is that bright spot on the right side center of the pic? Car lights, a lake or river? Just wondered. We had Thanksgiving Day temp. of 62°, too. Right now we have 12°! But at least it's above 0. :o)

The bright spot is where the trees open up into a big field. Thank you everyone! Beautiful didn't begin to describe it!
