Happy Friday to all; we made it, and it is an especially happy Friday knowing that the evil Yankee empire fell last night in dramatic fashion! Just shows that money doesn't always win championships; just ask Jerry Jones.....

Capt. FSN here in Detroit is showing the Minn./MTU hockey game, finally some real hockey with the NHL gone. GO TECH!

MTU won 5 to 3, MN is ranked No. 1 in the nation. Game 2 is tomorrow.

We get FSN here as well on Dish. Watched the 3rd period and looks like Tech might have a team this year. The kitty-cats better watch themselves.... ;-)

Just have to post about tonight's WCHA hockey game. The Michigan Tech Huskies beat Minnesota 5-3. Going into the game, Minnesota was the #1 team in the country!

Alex Petan's goal made #3 on ESPN's Top 10 Plays of the Day!!

Now why does that bring to mind a Russian fashion show spoof, from decades ago, with the same traditional Russian babushka (an elderly Russian woman) in each scene wearing a traditional cheap, frumpy housedress, and babushka (a usually triangularly folded kerchief for the head), the only difference being some small hand-held accessory.

Perhaps it was this (click →) Wendy's commercial from the 1980s (video: 1 min.).
