Another month has come to a close and with it, we pause and remember those friends and relatives that have passed on before us. Today we honor the memory of the following folks:

Mom, 10/11/22/- 10/4/09. Missing you but keeping you close by deep in my heart.

I can't think of anyone who passed in October in my family. I'm sure there's somebody. So, my condolences to all of you out there who have lost loved ones this month.

Glen, my brother in law who passed 2 days before my mom, 10/2/09. This was one of the toughest weeks in my life. You too are missed by the family.

Thinking of 2nd cousin George who passed away just before his (and his twin brother's) Halloween birthday. We pray you found peace, George.

And Happy Birthday to his brother, Charles, who is 90 today ~ and 'celebrating' in NY. Not sure how much of a party there will be under the circumstances!

Thinking of Allen who left this earth 5 years ago tonight at the age of 20 and thanking the Lord that He helped us through the overwhelming grief. We'll always miss you more than words can express, but we're rejoicing in the knowledge that we will see you again in heaven one day.

Jay Withington Johnson passed away 3 years ago in October. He
served in the US Army, Congressman of the 8th District in
Wisconsin and 36th Director of the US Mint. Jay was a member of
the class of '61 from AD Johnston HS in Bessemer, MI.

It has been a year today that we lost you Murphy B. I miss you.

Remembering my Dad, John Axel Carlson, gone over 7 years, and missed everyday. My In-laws Glen and Alice Bergstrom of Iron River, not a day goes by that we don't think of you. Beloved sister-in-law, Karen Nan Bergstom Vlamis, take too soon, Karen you would be head over heels with your graddaughter!Finally, Wayne Miller Carlson of Escanaba, best freind from Suomi and loyal Lion fan. Hey Waino now you have Alex Karras with you!

Only one of my loved ones passed away in October...my daddy went to be with the Lord in Oct., 1993. Remembering all the others, my mama in June 1987, my sister in July 2010 and my wonderful husband and friend in May 2011. Also remembering our little unborn baby we lost in October 1957. My heart grieves for them all.

My prayers, as always, are with you all, but especially for the Clarence Monette family today. He was a fine historian. I will certainly miss more of his books.

My dear mother, Dolores Carson, died four years ago yesterday. There was a great celebration in Heaven when she entered. She was a special woman, intelligent, loving, forebearing. We all miss her very much.

Clarence Monette did so much to keep the history alive.

In memory of my mother, Carol Audrey Blomquist of Ironwood, who just passed away Friday 10/26/12. Also my friend Michael Treder of Escanaba who passed away 10/24/12. They will be missed by many.

Oh no, Mr. Bill. Clarence Monette was yet another of my mom's friends. So sad and so sorry for his family.
