Marilyn Bachorik was here UP North just a week or so ago and while making her way back home, stopped for a few more glimpses of the color. It doesn't matter how many times you've seen the fall colors or even if you've lived through the color change each Autumn, right here in the midst of it all, it's still just as amazing how the colors can burst from green into such glorious hues.

Fall color here in the Keweenaw has pretty much finished its run, but I did notice on my walk yesterday, that there are still a few trees, here and there, that have color. Late bloomers perhaps, but beautiful all the same, when you're looking at a sea of leafless trees and you spot a bright red or orange still hanging on. Marilyn's photos reminded me of just that.

These are amazing pictures! I was also UP last week, and the colors were glorious! Even got pictures of snow-covered pines!

Looks like another outstanding Autumn in the Keweenaw!!! It's only a matter of time now before Mother Nature puts her colourful crayons away and replaces them with only white and gray; sorry for the reminder. ;-)

Beautiful shots of the most beautiful season! The last one in particular is appealing ~ from a different angle and the contrast in colors makes the shot!

We're glad you liked our pictures, Mary. (Lots more in our
album.) Our time in the Keweenaw was wonderful, and on
the way home we stayed in Munising and visited Big Bay,
Grand Marais, and dozens of places in between. It was a
spectacular peak season. We've been home only three
days, and Dennis already asked if we should go back
north for Thanksgiving! We just can't get enough of the
UP and the welcoming people who live there. Traveling
with our two huge dogs can be a handful, but they
introduce us to new folks everywhere we go, and that
really adds to the fun. Thanks to everyone we met for
another great Yooper vacation.

It looks like down here in the southern part of Ohio our trees are at their peak. Wonderful colors.

It was a wonderful autumn in the U.P. My favorite is the last photo with Lake Superior showing her beautiful colors also.

Toughest part of days like this is deciding which of these glorious photos to set as my background!

Beautiful pictures! BTW, I know what you mean about Autumn winding down. I called the 800 number for Ontario, Canada's Autumn colour report last evening, and the leaves are pretty much all on the ground already in the northern part of the province all the way to Manitoulin Island.

Every picture today is a knock- out. I would be hard put to pick a
favorite.
