We start today's Pasty Cam with two shots from Aladino Mandoli who snapped up this rainbow on the drive from Marquette to the Keweenaw. The colorful arch appeared between Three Lakes and Champion, immediately turning that gloomy day into something special. I really like how the rainbow looks like you could just about reach out and touch it in the second photo. So close to that Pot of Gold.

The next photo was taken by Bob Gilreath, of the Northern Lights we were treated to here UP North on Sunday evening. Neat to have the beautiful fall leaves catching the rays of the dancing sky lights, with all the stars in the background, cheering them on. Looks like they were putting on quite the show. Good thing Bob stayed up for it!

Then just to the southeast of where Bob was standing, Shawn Malone was clicking her shutter button, capturing the Aurora action near Miner's Castle on the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. There was plenty of light and color brightening the sky and reflecting into the water, changing Lake Superior from blue to green. Over on the left you can see a bright light on the horizon. That's a freighter that was lucky enough to be on the Big Lake enjoying the show right over their heads.

Finally - around the same time - way up north at Brockway, Jeremy Rowe was capturing the silhouette of Pasty.NET's broadband relay, and the popular gift shop - underneath a glowing curtain of shimmering light.

There sure was plenty of color splashed around the past few days UP North!

These photos are amazing! We missed the Northern Lights by about a week. Oh well, they are still on my bucket list,and I'm sure they will be worth the wait when it happens. Outstanding photos!!!
