Happy Anniversary to Janie and Bob!!!

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - 09:10 am:

Happy 36th (?) J.T.!
I don't know how Bob is going to bring back a set of Bone China in one piece, on his bike :-(

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - 09:16 am:

Thank You Deb & Alex! Yep Alex #36! Bob is having a pretty darn good time, but then he's with my brothers, the best brothers in the world, I think.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - 09:49 am:

Happy Anniversary, Janie.....when your Bob gets home.;)

By DEAN SCHWARTZ SR. (Lulu) on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - 02:33 pm:

Janie, may you and Bob have a Super Anniversary. And many, many more.

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - 04:11 pm:

Thank You Shirley & Dean! The wonders of technology! My niece and nephew is in labor with their first baby and she's keeping us all updated via FaceBook, and when she can no longer, my nephew will continue updating us! My brother had to cut the motorcycle trek in Arkansas with Bob and my other two brothers, short to make it for his grandson's arrival.

Went to Bond Falls today....beautiful place.

It was a gloomy day today, only saw enough blue sky to make a pair of sailor's pants.

Didn't want to break the rules. :)

Now that is a wonder of technology, Janie, that your niece and nephew can share the 'labor'....wish I'd known that 57 years ago.;)
May they have a bouncing baby boy before the day is over!!

The Great Lakes Waterfalls link says:

Quote:

"This is the most impressive waterfall in Michigan with the possible exception of Tahquamenon Falls."

Omigosh, they seriously must be kidding! Possible exception, my foot! It's not even a contest, it's Tahquamenon hands down! Bond falls, flowing over that series of cascades (rock staircase) is so underwhelming, seriously no match for the 50' x 200' sheer vertical drop of the upper falls! Tahquamenon is Michigan's Niagra!

(But I have long had this perfectly ridiculous, unshakeable mental image from the viewing area, of the Middle Branch flowing southward over Bond Falls and spilling into the reservoir/"flowage" — which is clearly ridiculous, 'cuz of course the Middle Branch flows northward, toward Agate Falls, then on to join the East Branch and the Baltimore River to pass under US-45 at the Military Bridge and on to Lake Superior at Ontonagon.)

I must get back there to see it in person once again, maybe next year.
