I can tell hunting season is upon us. Been hearing shotguns all over. Been seeing the partridge, geese and turkeys. http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,4570,7-153-10366_46403_59161-261652--,00.html

It was a cool, crisp, rainy day. Don't think we got over 60°. The snowshoe hares are starting to turn and getting the winter birds back...Blue Jays, Chick-a-dees, Piliated Wood Peckers. The "chippies" and squirrels have been scampering all over.

A lot of woodstoves were smoking today. Going to get ours going....just because.

I wish, Pinetreegirl, but afraid our trees have been too stressed by the drought to show color...some have already started dropping brown leaves. Guess we'll see. BTW, I like your last line.;)
