Howdy from Eastern Iowa! Been beautiful weather this weekend daughter, Michelle and I rode our horses! Loving the fall season approaching!

Go figure that when I came to the Classis Lake of the Clouds picture I was totally in awe. Of course, then I noticed that it was one of Dan's. Absolutley stunning picture!

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Sunday, September 9, 2012 - 04:01 pm:

I agree, Deb, Dan certainly had an eye for beauty!

The picture that struck me was the one showing the copper ingots. It appears that the center (the draw) of the bridge is missing. Must have been when the ship knocked it over. Also, I was taken by the absence of trees on the hill behind Ripley. Wonder if it had been logged off for mine timbers?

Mikie...just a suggestion. I'm into raisin toast and a piece of fruit like a peach, while they're still in season or a small bunch of green grapes. Ambrosia! PS.. the raisin bread is called "Grandpa's Oven" from some where out of Michigan. A little butter on the freshly toasted...hmmm... to die for! I, too, love peanut butter.

P S too...forgot to mention the raisin bread is avaliable at most Wal Marts. FNH is THIS comsidered a"chat"?

It was plenty chilly this morning just south of Ishpeming on County Road 581. While out for my morning walk,I spotted a small pocket of frosted ferns and flowers, much to my surprise.
